Always keep an eye on your children, they are still your responsibility.
Lifeguards cannot watch every single person in the pool constantly,
other areas e.g. play structures such as the Caribbean Storm, may be
unattended

Important factors to consider when visiting Sandcastle Waterpark for the
first time:

Read all signs especially those at the beginning of the waterslides as
most waterslides for Health & Safety reasons are not suitable for
guests with physical disabilities, impairments and those who are
pregnant

Identify deep and shallow water areas
-
Walk with care using handrails where provided
-
Be aware diving is not permitted in any pool
-
Be aware of the lifeguard's locations and to follow the lifeguard's
instructions, it is for your own safety
Minimum Age of Waterpark Users
N.B. The Management are happy to discuss individual family safety
requirements and under certain circumstances can use their discretion in
applying the rules set out below:

All children under the age of 8 (eight) should be supervised in the
water by a responsible person 16 years of age or over
-
This person may be responsible for up to 2 (two) persons under the age
of 8 (eight)
-
Children under 4 (four) should be supervised in the water on a one:one
basis regardless of whether they can swim or not
-
Children who are 8 (eight) or over and are weak / non-swimmers should
be supervised in the water by a responsible person of 16 years or over
-
All children under 10 should be accompanied in the pool hall by a
responsible person 16 years of age or over
Babies & Small Children
-
Babies should only be taken into the water for short spells due to
loss of body heat. We advise that very young babies are not taken into
the water
-
Ensure that babies and young children who have not been toilet trained
wear swim nappies (available from our Swim Shack if required)
-
Babies and young children suffering from diarrhoea should be kept out
of the water.
-
To avoid a choking risk, please discourage children from biting the
pool floats e.g. frogs, surfboards
-
Children who are weak / non-swimmers must wear double chambered
armbands. These can be purchased from the Swim Shack.
Safety / Depth Signs

Please ensure that you read all safety signs, these are located in the
changing rooms, on the ramp to the pool hall, on the sides of the pool
and at the top and bottom of all waterslides
Sauna
-
Please read the safety sign at the entrance before entering.
N.B.
Only adults are permitted to use the sauna
Swimwear
-
Normal swimwear attire should be worn, unless authorised by the pool
supervisor
N.B. Please ensure your swimwear is durable for use on the slides as we
cannot accept responsibility for damage to costumes e.g. Lycra not
recommended.
Alcohol / Drugs
-
Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not welcome at
this waterpark
Water Disinfection
-
Our pools are disinfected by a Bromide Hypochlorite System
-
To help keep our pool water to a high standard please ensure you have
a pre-swim shower before pool use
Food Policy
-
Only food and beverages for babies are allowed into the complex. Any
baby food in glass / crockery containers should be left with the
Security Department, this can be transferred into a plastic container
when the baby is ready to eat. Plastic containers are available at the
catering outlets
Smoking
-
Smoking is not permitted in any area of the Sandcastle Waterpark
Family Fun
Thunderfalls Waterslides
-
Please read the safety signs at the top and the bottom of these slides
(not suitable for under 3's)

Children who are weak / non-swimmers are only permitted on this slide
if wearing armbands and accompanied by a responsible person (normally
16 years and over)
Caribbean Storm
-
Please read the safety signs at the entrances to the play structure
-
The coconut tips approximately every 10-15 minutes. Very young
children and children who are not confident in the water should be
moved to the side whilst the water is tipping. N.B. The water tips
with relative force
Treetops Water Chutes
-
Please read the safety sign at the bottom of these slides (not
suitable for under 2's)

This is a gentle, family slide.
Ushi-Gushi River Creek

This is a crazy action river experience

Please remind yourselves on the rules for minimum age of pool users
before entering

The Hyperzone
The Master Blaster and Sidewinder Waterslides
The Master Blaster

Riders must be at least 1.15 metre tall to ride

Riders must be aged 8 years and over to ride

Single Tube riders only

Maximum weight restriction is 18 stone
The Sidewinder

Riders must be 1.1 metres tall to ride

Riders must be aged 6 years and over

Single tube maximum weight restriction is 18 stone

Double tube maximum weight restriction is 32 stone

Young children aged 6-8 years should be accompanied by an adult or an
older child on the first ride
