Safety first

Guest Service is of the utmost importance to our Award winning team, a very important aspect of this is keeping you safe and well informed. Please therefore ensure you take a few minutes to read the rules and safety information set out below before entering Sandcastle Waterpark as, upon entering our Waterpark, you are agreeing to the rules and safety information.

Rules

Please ensure you, and everyone you are responsible for within your party, look out for and read all signs throughout our premises, this includes those on all slides and attractions, as well as observing all audio and TV safety information and all instructions given out by our team. Failure to abide by all safety information may result in injury N.B. Any incidents must be reported to our First Aid room.

Everywhere is wet

Sandcastle Waterpark, including all surrounding areas, foyers and changing facilities, will be wet under foot, please therefore ensure that you are always aware of your surroundings and use handrails where available e.g. stairways and ramps… STRICTLY NO RUNNING.

Be respectful

Our Waterpark is a family attraction, please ensure you treat everyone with the utmost respect, this includes no swearing, shouting or abusive/threatening or lewd behaviour, in anyway, towards any of our team or other Guests.

Important factors to consider when visiting Sandcastle Waterpark for the first time:

  • Read all signs especially those at the beginning of the waterslides as most waterslides for Health & Safety reasons are not suitable for guests with physical disabilities, impairments and those who are pregnant
  • Identify deep and shallow water areas
  • Walk with care using handrails where provided
  • Be aware diving is not permitted in any pool
  • Be aware of the lifeguards locations and to follow the lifeguards instructions, it is for your own safety

N.B. The Management are happy to discuss individual family safety requirements and under certain circumstances can use their discretion in applying the rules set out below:

  • All children under the age of 8 (eight) should be supervised in the water by a responsible person 16 years of age or over
    This person may be responsible for up to 2 (two) persons under the age of 8 (eight)
  • Children under 4 (four) should be supervised in the water on a one:one basis regardless of whether they can swim or not
  • Children who are 8 (eight) or over and are weak / non-swimmers should be supervised in the water by a responsible person of 16 years or over
  • All children under 11 should be accompanied in the waterpark by a responsible person 16 years of age or over
  • Babies should only be taken into the water for short spells due to loss of body heat. We advise that very young babies are not taken into the water
  • Ensure that babies and young children who have not been toilet trained wear swim nappies (available from our Swim Shack if required)
  • Babies and young children suffering from diarrhoea should be kept out of the water.
  • To avoid a choking risk, please discourage children from biting the pool floats e.g. rings
  • Children who are weak / non-swimmers must wear double chambered armbands. These can be purchased from the Swim Shack.

Please ensure that you read all safety signs, these are located in the changing rooms, on the ramp to the pool hall, on the sides of the pool and at the top and bottom of all waterslides, including:

No Picnics
Unfortunately the consumption of Guests’ own food and beverages is not permitted on our premises.

Swimwear
Only permitted swimwear is acceptable within our Waterpark (please read the signage provided). Normal swimwear attire should be worn, unless authorised by the pool supervisor. N.B. Please ensure your swimwear is durable for use on the slides as we cannot accept responsibility for damage to costumes e.g. Lycra not recommended.

Photography & Video Camera Usage
The use of cameras, video cameras and other devices for taking pictures is strictly controlled within our Waterpark. Permission must be gained from the Waterpark Supervisor, located at the First Aid Room, before use.

Safeguarding Policy
For your safety and security CCTV is present throughout these premises.

Management

The Management & staff are happy to discuss individual & family safety requirements or clarify any of the above rules & safety information. Should you experience any problems on the day of your visit, please immediately bring them to the attention of a member of our team or ask for the Duty Manager.

The Management reserve the right to ask you, or any of your party to leave if the above rules & safety information are not followed (N.B. No refunds will be given).

Sauna/Sea Breeze Spa

Please read the safety sign at the entrance before entering.
 N.B. Only guests over the age of 18 are permitted to use the sauna. Please read our Safety Guidelines for the Sauna for more information. The Sea Breeze Spa is an Adults only area within Sandcastle Waterpark and all guests wishing to use this facility must be 18 years or over. NB There is a charge for use of the Sea Breeze Spa, please see website for details.

Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not welcome at this waterpark

In the interests of Health and Safety and to prevent possible tarnishing, jewellery should not be worn in the pools, or on the slides and attractions.

  • Our pools are disinfected by a Bromide Hypochlorite System
  • To help keep our pool water to a high standard please ensure you have a pre-swim shower before pool use

Only food and beverages for babies are allowed into the complex. Any baby food in glass / crockery containers should be left with the Security Department, this can be transferred into a plastic container when the baby is ready to eat. Plastic containers are available at the catering outlet

Last admission to Sandcastle Waterpark is one hour prior to published closing time

Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer

Sorry, we cannot refund any money if:

  • A slide or attraction is unavailable, closed or breaks down
  • In the event of an evacuation of the building
  • You are asked to leave

 

The Management reserves the right to refuse admission e.g for rowdy behaviour or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The use of mobile phones and cameras in our Waterpark is strictly controlled in line with our safeguarding policy. Permission must be obtained from our Waterpark Supervisor prior to any photos being taken. The use of mobile phones, video camera’s and mobile phones is strictly prohibited on our slides and in our pools.

Family fun

  • Please read the safety signs at the top and the bottom of these slides (not suitable for under 3’s)
  • Children who are weak / non-swimmers are only permitted on this slide if wearing armbands and accompanied by a responsible person (normally 16 years and over)
  • Please read the safety signs at the entrances to the play structure
  • The coconut tips approximately every 10-15 minutes. Very young children and children who are not confident in the water should be moved to the side whilst the water is tipping. N.B. The water tips with relative force
  • Please read the safety sign at the bottom of these slides (not suitable for under 2’s)
  • This is a gentle, family slide.
  • This is a crazy action river experience
  • Please remind yourselves on the rules for minimum age of pool users before entering
  • Please keep off the rocks, climbing is not permitted
  • Please read the safety sign on the column next to the Galleon
  • The Galleon is suitable for children over 3 and under 10
  • The waves are switched on every hour and half hour
  • When you hear the safety message, non-swimmers, weak swimmers and young children should be moved to the shallower water

White Knuckle Waterslides

  • Please read the safety sign at the top and the bottom of these chutes
  • Weak / non-swimmers cannot ride this slide

The Hyperzone

Includes Aztec Falls,  Montazooma ,Master Blaster and Sidewinder Waterslides.

  • These are very intense participatory water powered thrill rides
  • Do not ride if you have certain physical disabilities, impairments or if you are pregnant
  • If you are unsure of any of the following restrictions or wish to discuss individual riding requirements, please ask to speak to one of our members of staff who will be happy to oblige you
  • Riders must be 1.2 metres tall to ride
  • Riders must be 8 years and over to ride
  • Single tube maximum weight restriction is 18 stone
  • Double tube maximum weight restriction is 32 stone
  • Within the Aztec Falls Temple there are areas of darkness so more cautious riders are advised to ride with a parent or guardian for their first ride
  • Riders must be at least 1.2 metres tall to ride
  • Riders must be aged 8 years and over to ride
  • Single riders only
  • Maximum weight restriction is 18 stone
  • Riders must be at least 1.2 metres tall to ride
  • Riders must be aged 8 years and over to ride
  • Single Tube riders only
  • Maximum weight restriction is 18 stone
  • Riders must be 1.1 metres tall to ride
  • Riders must be aged 6 years and over
  • Single tube maximum weight restriction is 18 stone
  • Double tube maximum weight restriction is 32 stone
  • Young children aged 6-8 years should be accompanied by an adult or an older child on the first ride
