SANDCASTLE WATERPARK TEAM SETS NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS TM TITLE FOR THE MOST PEOPLE DOWN A WATERSLIDE IN ONE HOUR AS PART OF 30th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
Sandcastle Waterpark Blackpool are the proud holders of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS TM TITLE for the Most people down a waterslide in an hour after the popular Waterpark smashed the existing record.
More than 900 people had signed up to take part in the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS record attempt, which took place on Sunday 26th June. Hosted by popular Radio Wave presenters Ged Mills and Hayley K, the event was held as part of the Waterpark’s 30th Birthday celebrations and had seen a massive response from people all over the North West, wanting to be part of this new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS record attempt.
The record had stood to the team from Beerze Bulten and was set on July 30th 2014 at 396 people. The awesome team from Sandcastle Waterpark smashed the current record with a total of 529 people.
Managing Director John Child said, “In the week of our 30th Birthday celebrations, I am delighted that we were able to assemble such a huge number of people and smash the current GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title. It was always out Intention to mark our 30th Birthday in style and I would like to thank everyone that turned up to help us set this new record”.
